local.description.notesTopographical map of the Japanese puppet state of Manchukuo (Manchurian Empire), a US army map printed for army use only in 1942, after a Japanese original made in 1935 by the Japanese Land Survey Department showing Japanese designed provincial borders.Includes inset maps of Asia showing the location of Manchukuo, and of the three cities Fengtien (now Shenyang), Harbin, and Hsingking (now Changchun) which was the capital of Manchuria during Japanese occupation (city design uses some of Griffin's plan).
